Dinner was out of this world with the best passion fruit ceviche I have ever tasted. We had a Our waiter, Miguel Chacon was awesome!! Honestly everyone was fantastic.
I was worried about coming to dinner in a dressed down mode but everyone else had the same idea. With the limited clothing allowed on the train you never had to worry about being underdressed.
The only negative was that we didn't stay another night.

While in Peru my boyfriend and I decided to stay in Aguas Calientes to maximize our time near Machu Picchu. We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. A bit... read more of a splurge but worth it. Our breakfast, cocktails, and dinner were all included in our stay. The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to lend a helping hand. We even learned how to make pisco sours and ceviche before checking out. We cannot wait to go back and stay again!!
This is quite a disappointing hotel; it is in need of some refurbishment, both with the building and leadership. We were expecting a top hotel but did not find it... read more at Sumaq, which was very disappointing. The other hotels we stayed in the region (Antigua Casona San Bas in Cusco; Sol y Luna in Urubamba; El Alberguein Ollantaytambo) tried much harder to provide good service and provided considerable better value for money. I would recommend a lower priced hotel and standard amenities.
