I woke up with this feeling of incredible energy within and around me. This place is a must-do. A destination within a destination that’ll excited your senses. From the food and beverage, to the spa services, the staff completely understand why you’re here to begin with. The soothing treatments and massages will fix you right, after an all-day hike.
I will never forget seeing Machu Picchu for the first time. It was like a dream. You’ll be in awe of her beauty. There’s this indescribable feeling of energy that’s within these lands, and while staying at Sumaq, I got to experience this.
I highly recommend. 5 stars service, a world-class spa, impeccable bar and restaurant to brag about, and a location that’s fit for the gods. I mean, need I say more?
Go for the river view rooms! You can thank me later. Must try their adobo veal for dinner, pair it with a glass or two of their local red wine. It’ll melt in your mouth like butter and honey.
I’m definitely coming back again.

The other hotels we stayed in the region (Antigua Casona San Bas in Cusco; Sol y Luna in Urubamba; El Alberguein Ollantaytambo) tried much harder to provide good service and provided considerable better value for money. I would recommend a lower priced hotel and standard amenities.
We booked this without really looking. Much to our surprise when we were met at the lobby with an amazing drink and to die for appetizers. All this while checking... read more in! Dinner was out of this world with the best passion fruit ceviche I have ever tasted. We had a Our waiter, Miguel Chacon was awesome!! Honestly everyone was fantastic.
I was worried about coming to dinner in a dressed down mode but everyone else had the same idea. With the limited clothing allowed on the train you never had to worry about being underdressed.
The only negative was that we didn't stay another night.
