The room faced the river. You could hear it all night. Very soothing. We ate in the restaruant. It was excellent. We had the breakfast which was plentiful..no complaints. The walk to town and train station was three blocks up a slight hill. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic, polite, well-informed reception staff who were well used to taking care of baggage no matter what time you arrived or departed. Lovely spacious rooms, well-appointed and extremely comfortable. Delightful lounge area with good WiFi throughout. Helpful bar and restaurant staff, and probably the best food we experienced, at dinner, in the whole of Peru. Some noise form early morning trekkers, and the transfer buses to Machu Pichu, but of little consequence. Definitely recommended. More

The negatives are: there is no air conditioning and it’s not cold enough to not have it. There answer was a fan??? There were a lot of insects around the hotel and inside the hotel. The internet was horrible. I had to complete work and was not able to do so.
The positives were: they meet you at the train station and dolly your luggage to the hotel and will dolly it back the day you leave. Staff were friendly.
We paid over $500 for a 3 bed “suite” and felt it was crazily overpriced for what the hotel lacked.

It is definitely the best hotel we have visited in Peru, since we entered, the decoration fascinated us and followed by the lovely reception of Sandra in the front desk... read more that in addition to explaining the qualities of the hotel helped us with all our doubts about the Machupicchu ruins. We knew it would be a short but beautiful stay. Our room had a wonderful view of the river and the mountains, The delicious dinner at nigth and the next day Machupicchu without rain was the best! We will remember this trip as one of the best of our lives, thank you all very much.
