The problem was that there was so much noise at night. Our room was towards the end of the hall on the second floor and it sounded like staff worked all night. We couldn't sleep because of the noise inside the hotel. The walls must be paper-thin. That was the only problem in an otherwise perfect stay.

I stayed here the night before going up to Machu Picchu, and was super pleased with the hotel, the staff and the sheets! There is a complementary half hour... read more massage, at least for our room, in a little spa that made arrival lux. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They brought our bags to and from the train-station.
Breakfast was a mix between an American and European buffet with some South American flavor, just right for your day on the mountain.
I would suggest that perhaps staying there the night before and the day you get down from the mountain might be nice, as in retrospect I would have been happy to go back to rest on those wonderful sheets.
